❓ Publisher FAQ
Answers to the most common questions about Promoverto for publishers. If you can’t find what you need, email info@promoverto.com.
What is Promoverto?
Promoverto is a completion-based, pre-redirect video monetization layer for education websites. When a visitor clicks a link you’ve selected, a short 8-second video ad plays, and then the visitor continues to the intended destination.
Where can I use Promoverto?
Promoverto is designed for websites and content-driven education pages.
It works best on selected clicks like:
• Resource downloads
• External references / recommended resources
• “Read more” / supporting links
• Tools, lesson pages, or CTAs you choose
How often will visitors see an ad?
To protect user experience, ads are shown max once every 5 minutes per visitor. If a visitor clicks again within the cooldown period, they will continue without seeing another ad.
What if no ad is available?
If no eligible ad is available at the moment, Promoverto redirects the visitor directly to the destination without showing an ad.
What do I need to do to start?
You only need to:
• Register as a publisher
• Add your website/page
• Choose one of the two setup methods below
How do I connect my website?
You can choose between two setup methods:
Option 1 — JS snippet (automatic)
• Recommended method — keeps your original link URLs unchanged and is SEO-friendly
• Paste the JS snippet once on your site (Header/Footer or via a code snippet plugin)
• Add data-rv with your key to any link you want to monetize
Example (before):
<a href="https://example.com/resource.pdf">Download worksheet</a>
Example (after adding data-rv with your key):
<a href="https://example.com/resource.pdf" data-rv="yourkey">Download worksheet</a>
Replace yourkey with the unique key shown in Pages.
Option 2 — Manual link generator
• No script required
• Generate monetized links directly in Pages → Manual link generator
• Use the generated URL wherever needed
Both methods work the same way for tracking and earnings.
For SEO and internal site structure, we recommend the JS snippet method.
Can I monetize internal links too?
Yes. You decide which links are monetized. Most publishers start with outbound resource links, then expand to selected internal links or download buttons if it fits their UX.
Does Promoverto affect SEO?
No. When using the recommended JS snippet method, your original link URLs remain unchanged.
Search engines continue to see your normal site structure, and the script runs only when a real visitor clicks a selected link.
How much can I earn?
Promoverto uses a completion-based model:
• You earn $10 per 1,000 fully completed views (publisher 50% share).
• Only a fully watched 8-second video counts as a completed view.
If the video is closed before completion, that view is not counted.
What do “This month (MTD)” and “Available balance” mean?
This month (MTD) shows earnings from the current month (pending until the monthly close). Available balance shows earnings that have been posted after the monthly close.
When do I get paid?
Payouts are processed after month close once your available balance reaches $20. Payments are currently sent via PayPal.
Earnings are posted to your available balance after the monthly close (posted on the 2nd). Payouts are currently processed manually.
Do I need to add a PayPal email?
Yes. Add your PayPal email in Payments. Without a payout method, payouts can’t be sent.
Where can I see my payouts?
Go to Payments → Payout history. You’ll see each payout’s amount, status, requested date, processed date, and method.
How do Statistics work?
In Statistics you can view Daily or Monthly results, filter by page, and select a date range.
Key metrics:
• Opens — the ad page was opened
• Impressions — the ad was shown
• Completes — 8-second video fully watched
• Billable — completes that qualify for payment
• CTA — clicks on the ad call-to-action
• Continue — user clicked to continue
• Auto — auto-redirect to destination
• Err — errors
• Earned — your publisher share (50%) for that period
Why do I have “Completes” but low “Billable”?
“Billable” is the subset of completes that qualify for payment. Some completes may be excluded due to policy or traffic quality checks.
I tested twice and didn’t see an ad — is something broken?
Probably not. Frequency limits mean the same visitor may not see an ad again for a few minutes. Also, if no eligible ad is available, Promoverto redirects immediately without showing an ad.
What kind of traffic is allowed?
Promoverto is built for legitimate human visitors on real education websites. Automated or manipulated activity (bots, forced reloads, click farms) is not allowed.
What websites are eligible?
We’re currently onboarding math & EdTech websites as part of an early-stage rollout. Your pages should be relevant to an education audience and provide real value to visitors.
For developers: how do I build links in code?
If you generate links in code, use URL encoding for the destination URL. You can find examples in Pages → For developers.
During testing, you can add &preview=1 to bypass the frequency cap (testing only).
